RED
Book and Lyrics by Marcus Stevens
Music by Brian Lowdermilk |
| Julius and Ethel Rosenberg met in 1935, married, had two sons and were arrested for selling atomic bomb secrets to the Russians in 1950. They were convicted in 1951, and in 1953, despite international protests, were executed. Red takes us from thier first meeting to their last momentous hours as seen through the eyes of controversial Jewish comedian Lenny Bruce. Abounding with ironic humor, it examines McCarthyism, the "red scare," free speech and the nature of consipiracy. |
