FORBIDDEN BROADWAY
It's hard to identify a single top moment in this production, as all was fabulous, but Stevens' Mandy Patinkin impersonation was so dead-on that it stuck with me for hours after the show's final bows. — Phillyist Reviews

FLOYD COLLINS
Marcus Stevens as Floyd, turns in a spectacle of a performance I doubt will soon be equaled. There are times when an actor and role mesh so completely it’s impossible to see the seams of technique or applied talent—this is one of them. Marcus Stevens is “Floyd Collins.”—Ted Hoover, Pittsburgh City Paper

A NEW BRAIN
Which brings us to Marcus Stevens as the Finn doppelganger Gordon Schwinn. Having somehow survived his gut-wrenching, head-spinning, jaw-dropping performance last year as Floyd Collins, (twice, even, since I saw it a second time) I wouldn’t have thought it possible that he could ever top it. I was wrong: there is, apparently, no limit to this young man’s talent.—Ted Hoover, Pittsburgh City Paper

THE BIG BANG
…they have a made-for-each-other teamwork reminiscent of many great champions that traveled side by side. Think Crosby and Hope, think Martin and Lewis, think Korman and Conway. Yes, Hartman and Stevens are that good.—Doug Shanaberger, Observer Reporter

THE LAST FIVE YEARS
Even if you’ve seen their [Marcus Stevens and Daina Michelle Griffith] monumental work in various Point Park shows you are still not prepared for what these two do here, displaying talent without equal and the skill to rocket those gifts straight up to theatrical heavens. You are not likely to see performances of this magnitude in, at least, the next five years. Perfection.—Ted Hoover, PittsburghCity Paper |
