Marcus is an award winning book writer and lyricist and is a member of the BMI Musical Theater Workshop, ASCAP and the Dramatists Guild. He has written the book and lyrics to many shows including Red (Richard Rodgers Award), Yo, Vikings! (published by Samuel French, Inc.), and Mythic, which received its world premiere in London in October of 2019.
He contributed material to Dragons Love Tacos and Other Stories for Theaterworks USA and continues to work on new projects including songs for industrials and cabarets.
Marcus’s writing combines witty, intricate lyrics with heartfelt stories about family and self-actualization infused with a dash of fantasy and myth.
